The Northern California Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors is pleased to announce that Evelyn Dilsaver has been elected to a three-year term on the Chapter’s Board of Directors. Her term of office begins January 1, 2012.
Evelyn Dilsaver is a recognized leader in building highly motivated teams in both the public and non-profit sector. Evelyn is the former President and CEO of Charles Schwab Investment Management. At the same time, she was Chair of the Board for Women’s Initiative, a non-profit organization that helps lower income women become economical independent. She is a sought after speaker on leadership and strategy.
Evelyn currently serves on the Boards of: Aeropostale, Inc, High Mark Funds (subsidiary of Union Bank), Blue Shield of California, Tempur-pedic Int’l and Russell ETF’s Board. Her non-profit boards include: The Commonwealth Club of California, Cal State East Bay Educational Foundation, Bishop O’Dowd High School and Women’s Initiative.
Founded in 1977, NACD is a national nonprofit membership organization dedicated exclusively to serving the corporate governance needs of corporate boards and individual board members. NACD’s 10,000 members and customers represent companies ranging from Fortune 100 public companies to small, over-the-counter, closely held, and private firms.
NACD promotes high professional board standards, creates forums for peer interaction, enhances director effectiveness, communicates and monitors the policy interests of directors, conducts benchmarking research, and educates boards and directors concerning traditional and cutting-edge issues.
The Northern Chapter was formed in 2006 so that it could bring NACD programming closer to Northern California Boards and its Directors. Meetings are scheduled in San Francisco or Sacramento. Topics are always varied and reflect what is happening in our society and the corporate world.

Anne Sheehan, Director of Corporate Governance, CalSTRS, Sacramento named one of the country’s 100 most influential people in the boardroom community.
Each year, National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) identifies the most influential people in the US. Continuing its mission to recognize and promote excellence in the boardroom, NACD selects its Directorship 100. These are the most influential leaders in the boardroom and the corporate governance community. Honorees have demonstrated commitment for upholding the highest standards and best practices in corporate governance.
Anne Sheehan is the Director of Corporate Governance for the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS), the second largest public pension fund in the US, where she is responsible for overseeing all corporation governance activities for the fund including proxy voting, company engagements and managing $3 billion placed with activists managers. This is the fourth year in a row that she has been selected to this honor.
Anne is active in her professional activities including service as the Treasurer for the Northern California Chapter of NACD.
“The NACD 100 honorees have displayed their ability to apply their own individual attributes in raising the standards of boardrooms across the country,” said Craig Stone, president of the local NACD Chapter.

Bob McCormick, Chief Policy Officer, Glass Lewis, San Francisco named one of the country's 100 most influential people in the boardroom community.

Bob is the Chief Policy Officer for Glass Lewis and manages the analysis and drafting of 18,000 Proxy Paper research reports on shareholders meetings of public companies in 80 countries. He serves on the International Corporate Governance Network's Cross-Border Voting Practices and Securities Lending committees. This is the fourth year in a row that he has been selected to this honor. Bob is active in his professional activities including service as Vice President of Programs for the Northern California Chapter of NACD.

The Board of Directors of the Northern California Chapter, National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) is pleased to announce the election of Officers for the organization. The Chapter serves the communities of Sacramento, San Francisco and Napa Valley with seminars on timely corporate governance topics.
Chairperson of the Board: Diane Miller is President and CEO of Wilcox Miller & Nelson, a human capital management firm in Sacramento. She serves on the Boards of Umpqua Holdings Corporation, California Chamber of Commerce and is a Regent for the University of Pacific.
President: Craig Stone is Senior Project Manager of Delegata Corporation, a premier consulting and systems integration firm located in Sacramento. Dr. Stone is a Faculty Member for the NACD In-Boardroom Program. He serves on the Board of Midway Heights CWD, and is former CEO of Scientific Digital Visions.
Treasurer:Anne Sheehan is Director of Corporate Governance of the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS). Prior to that, she served as Chief Deputy Director for Policy at the California Department of Finance.
Secretary: Lydia Beebe is Corporate Secretary and Chief Governance Officer of Chevron Corporation. She currently serves on the Boards of Golden Gate University, National Judicial College and Kansas University Law Alumni.
